New custom order item in my shop!

This a listing for a Custom Order for a set of six dichroic glass dress shirt studs and matching cufflinks.

Purple c & s1

I made the example shown by hand by fusing an exquisite sparkling purple dichroic glass. The glass changes colour when the light catches it.

Great exhibitions!

There was a great exhibition of Olympics themed medallions at the recent International Festival of Glass. My favourite was this one by Judith Gill:

The exhibition was organised by the Contemporary Glass Society and more medallions can be seen on their website http://www.cgs.org.uk/

The British Glass Biennale was the major exhibition in the festival. These were my favourite pieces:

They were fused glass and looked like woven textiles. They were highlighted with threads of dichroic glass and were absolutely beautiful. http://www.biennale.org.uk/

Feminist glass!

Proud to have been an active feminist ever since the Womens Liberation Movement of the 70s, I recently made myself a sparkling fused glass feminist sign pendant. Due to popular demand I’ve now designed and made some new ones and now they’re in my Etsy shop

I welcome the current New Feminism with open arms. My main focus today is supporting www.millionwomenrise.com which organises an annual women’s demonstration in London, campaigning for an end to violence against women.

You can always find me somewhere on the march every year the Saturday nearest to International Womens Day on March 8th!

RAINBOW IN THE SKY!

Everyone loves a rainbow, from symbol of peace and pride to the mythical pot of gold at the rainbow’s end, it always seems like magic when one appears in the sky!

These sparkly fused dichroic glass rainbow pendants and cufflinks that I’ve made can now be viewed at

My Kitchen Tiles

I had a new kitchen about a year ago and I made some tiles to go over the sink, and, well, at long last I’ve put them up!   I won’t admit how long it’s taken me……

Anyway I’m pleased as punch with them, and am so delighted with all the lovely comments I’ve had about them that I’ve decided to offer custom versions of them in my shop.

You never know, maybe I’ll make some for the bathroom next……
